Over 20 years ago, Quickie created the first lightweight manual wheelchair. Wheelchairs of the day generally weighed 50lb or more. The first Quickie chair came in at a weight of almost half that. Purchased by Sunrise Medical in the mid 1980s, Quickie continued to manufacture inventive wheelchairs.
