Joseph Piekarski created 1-800-Wheelchair in 1997 with the vision of serving the senior medical community through multi media marketing. 1-800-Wheelchair started its first advertising campaign in January of 1998. In January 2001, 1-800-Wheelchair launched the first online home medical supply e-commerce web site, www.1800wheelchair.com. Today, with distribution hubs in New York and Chicago, 1-800-Wheelchair has one of the largest selections of wheelchairs, scooters and home mobility aids found on the web. Joseph was the architect in creating strategic partnerships such as becoming the official wheelchair company for JetBlue Airways and developing a partnership with Drugstore.com.

Fern Sidman VP, Internet Sales
Fern Sidman is an expert in the Duarable Medical Equipment industry specializing in wheelchairs, scooters and other home mobilitiy aids. With her years of experience, Fern played an integral part in developing our on-line presence. Whether you are a caregiver or shopping for yourself, customers are encouraged to "Ask Fern" throughout the online shopping experience. In addition to Fern's one-on-one customer service responsibilities, she has developed relationships with companies such as JetBlue and DrugStore.com Fern holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brooklyn College.

Faigy Goldberg VP, Customer Service
Customer service is our number one priority. At 1-800-Wheelchair we get hundreds of calls a day. Faigy sees that every customer is assigned a customer service representative and has made it her mission that every call gets the personal attention that it deserves. Feigy was instrumental in instituting the "5 minute guarantee" -where no customer waits more than 5 minutes for assistance. Her New Year's resolution is to get it down to 3 minutes!! Faigy Goldberg raised 7 children (they definitely don't wait more than 5 minutes)
