These are the ones to get!

I am a professional musician who ambulates mostly with forearm crutches, and my career was in jeopardy from damage to my upper body joints from this. However, these "in motion" forearm crutches put your arms and hands in neutral positions which minimize the effect of carrying your body weight. The handgrips are soft enough to cushion, but smooth and easily cleanable, and are molded and angled for a perfect positioning of the hand. The cuffs are made of composite material which flexes, allowing easy egress and yet can be effortlessly hung from the arm; and there are no finger-crushing "catch points" in the swivel mechanism. The spring-loaded mechanism in the base all but eliminates the jarring effect of "planting" a crutch to avoid a fall, and greatly aids in negotiating stairs. The rubber tip is smaller than most, but its articulated design helps to grab well for stability. These are lighter in weight than any other forearm crutches I have used, so they take less energy. Excellent design is an understatement! The finish is very pretty (mine are black) and so far has held up well to bumps and drops. I cannot recommend these highly enough to the long-term user, and also short-term even though they cost a bit more: can you put a price on treating your body right?

Best I've Had!

These are GREAT! The spring load makes it so soft even if I loose my balance, when I slam the crutches down I feel no added pain from the jarring because there is none. The handles make it feel like they are not there (until I feel my weight on my wrists ... LOL)
I use: "Kane Shoes" for the tips as they DON'T trap water under the tips, but pushes the water out like an athletic shoe. (PLEASE START TO CARRY THESE TIPS!)
So far I have recommended these to 6 folks I met in passing, and also recommended "1800wheelchair.com" to get them from.
