This chairside over-table from Drive Medical is perfect for use with a lift chair, recliner or couch.
This chairside reading table can be used for many activities such as eating, writing, crafts, working on the computer, reading and games.
Choose right or left positioning with 180° rotation so that the chair can be placed by any wall. The table top of the reading table pivots 360° at the touch of a hand so getting it out of the way for standing up is a cinch!

I use it for programming on a laptop for long hours each day. It easily swivels out of the way when I need to get up. Although the table is strong enough to hold lots of weight, I had to pin the outside edge down to keep the table from tipping on loads heavier than advertised. Now it's very sturdy, I love it, and I would buy another.

This has been a great boon to me. A disability makes it hard for me to stand or sit upright for long periods, making it impossible for me to work. This allows me at least to use my laptop computer and/or do craft projects semi-reclining. It's great!
It needs better "feet" to keep it from slipping on bare floors, but that's easy to add. And it needs plenty of room around it to swing the tray around.
The only real problem is that the tray is VERY hard to raise and lower. Depends on friction, so it's very tight. It certainly can't be done while sitting in the chair.
