This worked out well. Got the patient in a shower stall.
Service at 1-800- Wheelchair is wonderful but this Showerbuddy is not a safe safe way to transport the disabled for bathing, Cumbersome to assemble and store. With only a chest strap for safety this could cause a hip slip. THe seat cushion is very hard and rough. The commode hole is large and the edges are not tapered. This can increase risk of sores. The commode pan was placed too close to the top of the commode hole so doing bowel program is difficult. It's less expensive than other products on the market but I do not feel safe letting my loved one use it. Put quality before profit . Make your chair of lightweight metals and ensolite cushion and you will have a good product. This chair would be very hard to transport out of the house in order to go on vacation. I can understand why this is not a popular product.
We were considering reconstructing our shower inorder to make it into a roll in shower. It would have costed us well over $10,000. We found the showerbuddy and have been using it ever since. It has become a lifesaver for me and my spouse.
this is a great product. Easy to get a patient in and out of the shower
