I have severe arthritis in my knees. I have trouble standing up from a sitting position. This chair helps me to my feet with little effort. I weigh over 400 lbs. at 6'2" and I am quite comfortable in this chair. I do have one minor complaint about the reserve power during black outs. My Batteries always seem to be dead when I need them the most. Otherwise it is a great chair.
