The front wheels will bend if they get into small depressions or gaps, especially if trying to turn.
The front wheels are hard to turn on soft surfaces.

Comments about Drive Heavy Duty Transport Wheelchair:

I USE IT FOR DR'S OFFICE VISITS ONLY. NOT NEEDED AT HOME. FOOD SHOPPING IS DONE BY HELPER,
ALL OTHER SHOPPING ON THE I-NET.

FOOT PEDAL DESIGN IS A DISGRACE. HARD PLASTIC EASILY BREAKS. CAST METAL LIKE ALUMINUM A MUST.
SOMEBODY ENGINEER (DESIGNER) NEEDS TO WAKE UP.

OTHERWISE A GOOD MACHINE. IT FITS INGTO MY FORD FOCUS TRUNK (BARELY). HELPER DOES THE LOADING AND UNLOADING. TOO HEAVY FOR MY BAD BACK.

I use this chair when I visit the doctors office and the hospital where you are not likely to find a bariatric chair that is not already being used. I combined it with a cushion for long term sitting.

Comments about Drive Heavy Duty Transport Wheelchair:

This chair is truly heavy duty but the foot rests are weak and don't stay up and out of the way getting in and out of chair. I've already broke one (and got a quick replacenebt) by accidently putting a bit too much weight on it.
The weak plastic footrest should be a cast metal.
