I had an old recliner that after just a few months after i purchsed it started to break down, it wouldnt lean back smoothly, squeked alot,etc.
BUT THIS CHAIR, ive had it for about almost two years and it is wonderful, i love how i can go to my sons baseball game and watch him ver comftorably, not to mention it still reclines back very smoothly and it feels nice and strong, especially when it reclines, you feel safe. This chair is top notch
