My mother came to live with us a year and a half ago, since she was not well nor steady on her feet I was searching for some sort of wheel chair. I found 1-800-Wheelchairs after two days of researching and comparing on the internet. It turned out to be the perfect chair for her needs, and the price was excellent.

this wheelchair was cheap and I should have known you can't buy a good wheelchair for less. It fell apart and is now in the trash. Invest more money and buy a better wheelchair or waste your money on this one.

front wheels get hung over door stops unless you tilt back to push through

The left push handle retaining tab that holds the push handle in an upright position frequently slips out of the hole, collapsing the left side of the pushing mechanism. It is a bit frustrating and makes one feel that the handle could fail at any time, which it frequently does.

Makes traveling a breeze!

Having left the chair in it's UPS-delivered box, it was checked luggage on air to Budapest, Hungary. It arrived with the package ripped apart, but not a scratch on the chair. Two weeks on a cruise ship on the Danube showed it was the perfect aide for my disabled (temporarily, I pray) wife. [...].
