Comments about Medline Excel Freedom Transport Chair:

I did a lot of reseach for about 2 months. Kept coming back to this chair. For my mom, who is 87, has 2 arthritic knees, can only walk a short distance with her cane. Went to the shore and on the boardwalk with it. It was good going down the boarwalk ramps. I asked my mom to review the chair. She said it was very comfortable, the 19 inch seat fit her well. She is 5'2" and 175#'s. The special arms which feature the slant style fit her arm length. The detachable foot rests can be attached in approx. 15 seconds. And can be removed in same time. Opens and closes in about 20 seconds. Of course, a majority of restaurants are not handicapped equipped, so my mom had to walk in (we folded the chair and carried it in.--no problem.) The curved handles close nicely when pushing down the back of the chair. The curved handles are very comfortable to push for the caretaker. Lightweight, easy to store even in a small trunk. With her in it, I expected it to feel heavy; no way, it was light as a feather to push her. The 8" wheels in the rear are an extra plus. I found that the foot brakes were easy to use. Well constructed and a pretty burgundy color. CONS: you just have to be extra careful on broken or uneven concrete; but not a major problem. Love it. Would recommend.

Comments about Medline Excel Freedom Transport Chair:

This chair is wonderful! My mother had a big full-sized wheelchair but it was too heavy for some of her friends to lift in and out of their cars to take her places. We ordered this chair and my mom likes it so much she uses it all the time! The old wheelchair is in the attic to be used only for long trips. [...] But, I would love this chair even if we had to pay the [$]. A great price for a great chair.

Comments about Medline Excel Freedom Transport Chair:

This chair was purchased for my mother who has mobility issues. This chair is small enough for her to use in her home that has narrow hallways. This chair has allowed her to stay in her own home and get around with ease. Got it for her after hip replacement surgery. She used it as her main chair as it was comfortable enough to sit in all day and to get out of to do her exercises. Now that she is more mobile and uses her walker, she mainly uses the wheelchair when she cleans her house.

Comments about Medline Excel Freedom Transport Chair:

I bought this for my father who is unable to walk. He is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs around 190 pounds and we are very pleased with this transport chair. I have a small vehicle with a hatchback and this is compact enough that it actually fits unlike a regular wheelchair. It's easy to fold up and very light weight. This is an excellent product for the price.

Comments about Medline Excel Freedom Transport Chair:

I ordered the chair to use for my mother. [...] we used it the following day to go to the doctor. It is easy to fold and put in my small trunk. It is light weight and very manageable for loading and unloading. I like that the arms are angled to easily fit at a table for dining. The chair is easy to roll. We have very happy with the chair.

Comments about Medline Excel Freedom Transport Chair:

We use the chair daily, to take my wife to and from her part-time job. An absolute back-saver, incredibly lightweight. Storage pockets in seat back are handy. Best choice for those with frequent transportation need to and from same place, where you know the ground ahead of time. Uneven and broken ground present problems, but this comes from small wheels common to all transport chairs. Wheel Locks awkward, but no big deal. Fold down back a plus in restaurants, but wife prefers not to use because it reduces her back support. Best buy I've made in a long time.

Light and easy to use. Also enjoy that the handles tilt back...very handy in restaurants etc so someone does not run into them. My 88 year old mother says it is very comfortable. A friend bought one for her mother and my cousin got one for my Aunt. They are Terrific!

Comments about Medline Excel Freedom Transport Chair:

I use this chair when I need to take my dad to his doctor's appointments or to get him outside for a walk. Its easy for me to put this chair in and out of my car. It stores flat in a small space when it is not in use. It really is compact and yet easy to open. It is much easier than the big heavy wheelchairs that I have seen.

Comments about Medline Excel Freedom Transport Chair:

This wheelchair folds just about flat. It's lightweight and that was very important to me as I would be the one lifting it into my SUV and storing it in my garage when not in use. Thanks for an excellent product without an outrageous price tag!
