If you want a lightweight (meaning few lbs), highly transportable scooter, this is perfect. I know - I used mine daily for nearly a year. Why did I stop? Because my MS prgressed to the point where I can no longer drive (or even sit upright for more than 15 minutes). Because of this wonderful scooter, I was able to take this alone everywhere and maintained my independence. Daily I had folks stopping me and asking about the scooter, and many/most would end the conversation with "I wish my father/uncle/friend would get one of those!" You can so easily and quickly set it up and take it down. You can charge it up easily daily if you like, but I only had to about once a week (but that depends totally on what you're doing, of course). Forget the critics: Of course it doesn't have a POWERFUL motor - it's a transportable! I didn't expect one - I needed light weight! And the batteries? I thought they were just fine - never had a problem. One thing to know: It's a front wheel drive, and so sometimes the front wheel would slip if it's too steep an incline or raining. But it's all about tradeoffs, and so it's not something to be critical of, in my view. I'm not on commission (but maybe I should be - I could sell a hundred!). I just hope that they find a miracle drug for MS and I can recover enough strength to again be able to use mine. It was a godsend for the months I was able to use it.

I get full 6-8 hour days out of my Caddy on a single charge. Nothing like it on the market for travel: I recently spent a week buzzing around Manhattan in it. Drops into the trunk of a taxi, handled even rough and narrow SoHo sidewalks. The airline cargo guys were amazed by how easy it was for them to check due to the wheeled roll-away luggage style.

It's a bit under-powered, and I wish the cargo options were better. The horn is beyond annoying; I'd disconnect it if I could figure out how. But I'm going back across country with it again next week. The little beast is a great traveling companion, as well as the perfect everyday shopping scooter.
