The Active Walker is both a rollator and walker! The Active Walker Rollator combines all of the best user-friendly features in a modern and sleek form. Design has been THE key element in the development of the Active from the start. This rollator is the perfect companion for taking strolls outdoors, shopping trips to the local supermarket, or enhancing your safety in and around the house. You can’t find a more user friendly or versatile walker anywhere in the world. The Active Rollator features an easy height and seat adjustment. A single easy lever folds and locks the Active into its convenient parking position. The Active sports built-in red reflectors in the handles, and reflective tape on the frame to give all round visibility when you need it most.
All Active rollators are manufactured to the highest quality standards and are CE marked as Medical Devices. Rigorous testing and quality control ensure that you get the best possible rollator that money can buy. This is the best of Scandinavian design at an affordable price.
Advanced Braking System
The Active walker has a patented braking system that puts safety first. The brake cables are protected and hidden safely away inside the walker frame. The brakes stay in perfect adjustment no matter which position the handles in, and there is no need for re-adjusting. When it is time for adjustment, there is a convenient allen screw located in the rear leg profil, and with a quick turn of the included wrench the brakes can easily be adjusted to accommodate for wear.
Large front wheels
Why stop walking when the terrrain gets rough? Large 25cm (10 inch) diameter front wheels let the Active roll over uneven terrain, sidewalk cracks, and door threshholds that make other rollators stop in their tracks. The Active travels just as well over gravel paths as it does smooth tile floors. But maneuverability was always a key issue for the designers of the Active. By using smaller 8 inch (20 cm) diameter back wheels, the Active retains its incredible maneuverability and tight turning radius that make it a great walking aid in the home, where space is limited.
Removable Handy-basket
Unlike other walkers that place a metal basket in front of the seat, the Active utilizes the space under the seat with a handy removable basket. With a capacity of 14 liters, there is enough room for a handbag, newspaper, food items and more. The seat protects the contents of the basket both from the weather and opportunistic theft. Flip the seat up to access the contents of the basket, or take the basket out with the convenient carry handles.
Curb climber
Even with the large front wheels, there are always obstacles that are too big to just roll over. But you don’t have to pick up the walker to get up that curb. Just step down on the curb climber and with a gentle pull back on the handles, the Active walker will raise its front wheels to easily maneuver over larger obstacles.

I live in the country and have a gravel driveway. The Active Rollator is very stable and overcomes the challenge of gravel and even grass nicely. The seat easily adjusts without help of others to be used as a tray for buffet restaurants. I finely have a walker that is stylish, sturdy, perfect for home, shopping, dining, going to flea markets, or simply enjoying my yard without falling. I have arthritis in hands, back, hips and legs, also had hip and foot surgeries many years ago with an unsteady gait. This has greatly improved my quality of mobility.

This is so much better than a cane for stability and confidence, plus I can use it as a seat and can even be pushed seated(facing backward). The ability to adjust both the seat height and handle height is a major advantage over other rollators. This model looks good and feels sturdy. It is rather heavy for someone with poor lifting ability. I found the weight can be managed by leaning it against the opened rear of my SUV, then lifting the rollator and sliding it in.

Great design, gets a lot of positive comments. Single handle breaks it down for transportation and it will always stay in an upright position on the floor for easy handling. Soft tires will give you positive stops and a soft ride. Will not have wheel chadder like most walkers over ruff surfaces. The handle bars break down easly for easy transportation.Ball bearings make for great turning wheels and a smooth push. It's almost tip over proof front to back. Very good stability side to side even though it's a couple inches narrower than most. Platnum color really looks sharp, With plastic faring that covers all stuctal metal tubing. The only negative thing is the rubber hand grips are poorly desighned and are not formed to fit anyones hands. The grips gives me hand fatigue after a long outing. The soft rubber wheels have a tendacy to pick up more dirt then the harder rubber. If anyone is interested in getting the home model- travel. The difference isn't the price so much as the travel dosen't have a back rest and the seat is hard plastic instead of polyfoam like the home version. The travel model has a cup holder the home version has no cup holder. It would be a perfect rollator if rhe grips had pistol grip design and no finger stops at all or bigger finger stops.

This product has extended my joy in living.
Can I find a new basket when I may need one? My young grandchildren transport my dinner dishes and treats in it.

i live on a farm w/ rocky trails the moment i'm out the door. on the level, this walker works okay, even over the rocks. however, going uphill or down, wh/ is most of the time, i'm disappointed. the 10" wheels don't solve the problem i was trying to. maybe it's a little better than my other walker, but not enough to crow about. i'd recommend it to anyone living in town but not out here in the sticks. i'm looking for balloon tires for the front.

Comments about Probasics by PMI Active Rollator with 10"/8" wheels:
The Active Walker allowed my mother to fully participate in a family trip to Paris. The oversized wheels handled the uneven pavement, and unpaved paths, with ease. It was very easy to adjust, provided sturdy support, and the collapsible storage bag under the seat held all of her daily needs. We were a little concerned by the amount of plastic in certain places, but the walker held up to lots of use and the airlines. It does not fold quite as flat as her conventional wheeled walker, but much more so than a traditional rollator. It was also quite the attention getter while waiting in lines, with lots of other tourists wanting to know where they could get one for a loved one. I gave out the website address so much I probably should have asked for a marketing fee.

We live out in the country and don't have any paved areas. My husband has Parkinson's, but still enjoyes getting out for walks around the property. The large wheels and sturdy design of the Active Walker allow him to go where ever he wants with limited effort and a secure feeling. His old walker was so difficult to push thru the grass and sand because of the small wheels. It is nice to have the brake cables routed thru the tubing so that the cables do not catch on things.

Keep it in the garage for outdoor use. Have a lighter weight, less sturdy one available for indoor use. Great for long walks with my dog and for travel. Stands up to treatment airlines and paramedic vans throw at it.

This walker will go anywhere. I have Lupus and Menieres disease and have lost 70% of my balance, this walker has kept me from falling numerous time. When I get fatigued I am able to sit.
I would love to see a way to attach an umbrella to this walker.

Added a commercial velcro safety strap, and used it as a wheel chair, when my husband was too tired to walk. We bought it so he could still go to the rocky beaches in Washington. It works great

As a young woman with MS and limited standing and walking endurance, it's wonderful to find a mobility product that has some style. (No offense to grandmas with the review's title.) I do have to agree with other reviewers in that it is a bit heavy, but that's probably a plus when it comes to stability and durability. It does make it a bit more challenging to travel with.
I've slapped a "dog is my co-pilot" sticker over the logo and my service dog and I are now styling!

THE BEST WALKER I'VE HAD. I SUFFER FROM M.S. THIS WALKER IS STURDY AND SAFE. I WENT THROUGH TWO NOVA WALKERS IN ABOUT TWO PLUS YEARS. THEY BOTH BROKE AT THE SAME POINT DO TO DOWNWARD PRESSURE FROM UPPER TORSO (METAL FATIGUE). I DEFINITELY BELIEVE THAT THE DESIGN OF THE ACTIVE WALKER IS FAR SUPERIOR TO ANY OTHERS ON THE MARKET PLUS THEY'RE CHEAPER.
Comments about Probasics by PMI Active Rollator with 10"/8" wheels:
Love the fact the handles and seat adjust independently, and the big front wheels permit "off-road" use. My MS makes standing for long periods nearly impossible, and the Active gives me a great alternative, rather than staying at home. It's not light, and rather awkward to load and unload from the car, but it's worth every minute of the weight-training. A great walker for a fantastic price!
Comments about Probasics by PMI Active Rollator with 10"/8" wheels:
It is a good sturdy walker and very useful when he can't walk because he can sit on it and it is strong enough to carry him. However, it does not fold too small and it is not easy to take in some car trunks due to its size. I guess it would not be as sturdy if it were more compact....
Comments about Probasics by PMI Active Rollator with 10"/8" wheels:
I bought this to replace more conventional rollators because I travel abroad and needed something that can handle rough terrain. This machine is fabulous in that regard. I also like that it stands folded, great in restaurants. It is very handsome and draws a lot of compliments. It is a very good value.
However, it is heavier than most, a factor when it comes to lifting it in and out of the car. There is no provision at all for carrying it, a problem on escalators, for instance. Carrying it is further complicated by the fact that it has no clear balancing point.
