Standard Weight wheelchairs are the perfect choice if you need to be self-propelled, but won't be in the wheelchair long term. Generally weighing between 35 and 44 lbs., standard wheelchairs feature folding frames, swingaway foot rests and armrests. Some standard weight wheelchairs, convert into transport chairs while others are able to support users up to 500 lbs or 600 lbs. For longer term users, we suggest a ridgid wheelchair, which are generally lighter and offer better performace.
