This new lightweight back is designed with several features including 3" of lateral contour depth for lateral trunk support which facilitates centering and postural control. Posture and upright positioning is also achieved via the scapular cutouts, which do not interfere with the user's upper extremity range of motion.

Also featured is Invacare's Spacer Fabric upholstery, which improves airflow between the user and the back for optimal management of heat and moisture to promote better skin integrity. The positioning back also includes single point mounting hardware that securely mounts between the canes without any unwanted play while still allowing height, depth and back angle adjustments. Optional Thoracic Lateral Supports and Pelvic Stabilizers provide additional positioning for the trunk and pelvis to increase support. These supports are adjustable in height and width and take the place of the clinician's hands in keeping the user in the best position identified. The back is also equipped with angle adjustable hardware which allows accommodation of hip range of motion limitations, kyphotic postures and posterior pelvic tilt by opening up the seat-to-back angle. The accompanying depth adjustable hardware plays an equally vital role, allowing positioning without losing seat depth, thereby maximizing the area of the seating surface for optimal pressure redistribution. The back is also height adjustable, accommodating the user's positioning requirements in the wheelchair.
