Invacare Top End Eliminator V Cage OSR Racing Wheelchair

Invacare Top End Eliminator OSR Racing Wheelchair is designed for speed. The super-stiff roll-formed horizontal main tube, combined with a relaxed headtube angle for exceptional stability and aerodynamics, makes it the choice of champion racers like Ernst van Dyk, Krige Schabort, Kurt Furnley, Chantal Petitclerc, and Edith Hunkeler. It features a relaxed head tube angle for great cornering and maximum traction. Combined with the stiff aerodynamic T-frame design, precision track compensator system, integral wrap-around fenders, aluminum side panels, and rubber-coated push rims.

The Open V-cage style is the most popular because it allows more leg room and easier transfers. It is recommended for beginner level athletes with T-10 SCI and above as that level of injury requires more of a bucket. Designed for people who prefer the seated position and/or may also want to kneel. The super-stiff horizontal maintube, combined with a relaxed headtube angle for stability and aerodynamics, makes it designed for speed. This cage does require good transfer skills.

Standard position vs Kneeling position

The standard position is recommended for athletes who have limited balance and need more of a bucket or squeeze position. The athlete can sit in the traditional position with his/her feet on a footplate or use it in the kneeling position which makes it the ideal choice for beginners.

The kneeling position is best for experienced athletes with good balance who only kneel in their chair or need an amputee seat.
