Description
The all-new Tek RMD Standing Electric Wheelchair is a new mobility platform that completely reimagines the way individuals with paraplegia and other walking disabilities are able to move in the world. It gives the ability to independently and safely sit, stand, and navigate environments that were once inaccessible. Getting from a seated position into a standing position with the Tek RMD is quick and simple. The suspension system containing gas spring mechanism balances the weight of the user so that standing up requires a gentle pull.
Individuals can board the Tek RMD and get into the standing position independently without assistance from others. The convenience and simplicity help to encourage the users to get into a standing position countless times, and perform various daily activities while in the standing position. The Tek RMD also leaves both hands free for daily activities like cooking, cleaning, or carrying items from one room to another. Additionally, the user can enjoy being at eye level with friends and family. This allows for closer conversations and more personal connections with those around them.
The Tek RMD is the world’s smallest footprint motorized standing mobility device. It is only 16.3 in wide and 29.5 in long. The Tek RMD’s small footprint allows users to go places and reach items otherwise unavailable in a standard wheelchair whether at home or at work. By minimizing the renovation required in living spaces the Tek RMD often decreases overall costs to living with disabilities
Tek RMD’s Remote Control allows the user to be free from the device. The user can sit on the couch, office chair, or lay to the bed, send the Tek RMD away, and bring it back with the remote control when needed. It also comes in both an indoor and outdoor model, with an optional motorized electric stander and foldable seat. Tek RMD is a patented, CE Marked, and FDA 510(k) cleared technology.
